Not Good Enough @ 6:09 PM

Last week, watched The Uninvited with Khairul since he wanted to watch it too. The movie wasn't as scary as I thought, more like a thriller cum suspense movie.
It was alright with a slightly interestin twist in the end but I personally felt it could be done better since its from the producers of Disturbia(which I thought was a great movie).
I suggest you spend your money on other movies like Night At The Museum 2. My Rating: 2/5.

Dunk It @ 5:43 PM

Worked at this event yesterday. Harlem Globetrotters from the USA. It's basically a basketball event plus acting. It's like the basketball version of WWE. But it was nothin like those crappy WWE actin where you can see that it is really fake. This show was really entertaining and impromptu. They brought some members of the audience on to the court and interacted with them.

Then the basketballers would reward them with stuffs like Harlem's jerseys, an autographed basketball and even their own sweaty wristbands. One of their tricks includes literally splashin a bucket of water at the audience. So of course the audience was caught off-guard. Besides that, they danced, played basketball and showed off their moves. Btw, they were "playin" against the Washington Generals.

Even the mascot had some cool moves.

So anyway, when the show ended, I'm suppose to stand along the outline of the court with the rest of the GCOs and hold this rope to prevent people from entering the court. What I didn't know was that the audience were allowed to come down and get their autographs from the players.
So before I knew it, people were rushin down and pushin the ropes to reach out to the basketballers. Since one player was beside me, some fans rushed into my direction. My side wasn't that bad but my friend's side was worse cause she was at the corner.
She was like tryin to hold back the rope against the fans but at one point I couldn't even see her cause the fans were too overwhelming.

Harlem VS Generals

The fans used whatever they had to get the basketballers' autographs, stuffs like their ticket stubs, the clothes they're wearin, towels, shoes, bags, caps, basketball, posters, their arms and one boy even asked to sign on his handphone. Some were also scramblin to take their pictures with the players. The autograph session lasted bout 30mins.

High on Estacy @ 5:31 PM

Watched my first Cantonese concert last Saturday, Grasshopper Right Now 2009 Concert. Actually more like workin but get to watch anyway. Even though I didn't understand the lyrics but the concert was really upbeat and energetic. I was really impressed. If I were a fan, I would be really satisfied. But the costumes was weird and funny. The dance was good but all 3 guys abit gayish. The lead singer even wore his 4.5inch heels and danced. Salute him for that. He kinda looked like Terence Cao. Anyway, all 3 of them are very flamboyant. Overall they performed 23 songs.

Weird.

The Two Brothers

All three of them with their extravagant costumes.

Ended at 11.30pm and I was stuck at City Hall after that cause no more train & bus. But thank god for Night Rider despite the $3.50 fare! It was faster than takin train. Reached home bout 1.30am. Oh! And I saw Jeanette Aw & Jonathan Leong at Indoor Stadium. She seems sweet.

Goin Up @ 5:14 PM

Since Wednesdays no school, went out with the usual MJs. Initially planned to meet at 5pm but somethin came up and Nana & Far had to meet us at 8plus. So I & Nanda met and played pool at Lucky Plaza while waitin for them. Haha.. I ended up trashin him, 5-1. He had really good, lucky shots but I still won. Haha.. Too bad.

Met up with Nana & Far near Funan after that. As we were crossing the junction, a group of guys beside us got into a fight with another gang. Apparently, Guy 1 was swearin at Guy 2. Then Guy 2 started to high kick Guy 1 but missed.
Then suddenly 3 guys around Guy 1 started whacking him really hard. All of this happenin WHILE they were crossin the road too.
Then they started kickin him and Guy 1 tried to run but fell in the middle of the junction.
All 3 guys continued punchin & kickin the poor solo Guy 1 despite the fact that they were in the middle of the FREAKIN road! Luckily no cars was drivin by that lane at that time otherwise all 4 guys would get hit.
They dispersed after a taxi driver honked at them. I was so scared lah. Scared they accidentally hit me. Should video it and put it on Youtube huh.

Anyway, we walked all the way to Singapore Flyer. Damn far lah. Bought the Student Price tixs and had to go through this security check similar to the one at Woodlands Checkpoint. Quite confusing to find the entrance of the flyer. And we had the whole cabin to ourselves.

On the way home took some pics in the train.

welcome
